Just got through with Miller Jr.'s A Canticle for Liebowitz and Saint Liebowitz and the Wild Horse Woman . I also read The Official Handbook of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy.
Still wading through Milton and Shakespeare. You can't rush through these writers, folks. Like fine wine, they must be savored.

"A Canticle for Libowitz". That takes me back.
If you can find a copy somewhere, I recommend "The Marching Morons and other stories" by C.M. Kornbluth. That's a real parable for our time. Also, anything by Philip K. Dick is usually worthwhile. Right now, I'm reading "How to Talk to A Liberal", "Mere Christianity", "Suicide of the West"
"Mere Christianity" is one of my all-time, hands down favorites of Christian Apologetics. I particularly like Lewis' proofs of God's existence. It's enough to make you think about the natural world in which we live. And I have yet to see an atheist give a good reproof.
